Jonathan Andic, 45, the son of Mango founder Isak Andic, has been arrested by Catalan police in connection with his father's death.Isak Andic, 71, passed away in December 2024 after falling from a ravine in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona while walking with his son.The incident was initially treated as an accident, but the investigation was later reopened due to inconsistencies in Jonathan's testimony.Conflicting reports exist regarding whether other family members were present during the fall.Jonathan, who joined Mango in 2005 and later oversaw the Mango Man line, became vice-chairman of the board after his father’s passing.During his questioning, Jonathan denied any responsibility for the incident.He has been released on bail set at €1 million (£865,000), with his passport confiscated and a requirement to report weekly to the court.Isak Andic co-founded Mango with his brother Nahman in 1984 in Barcelona, and the brand now operates nearly 3,000 stores in 120 countries.At the time of his death, his net worth was estimated at $4.5 billion.Mango's CEO, Toni Ruiz, highlighted Isak's legacy and emphasized the company’s commitment to continue his vision.
