Two hundred police constables and corporals who completed an intensive combat and weapons handling course in Kano have been advised to remain battle-ready against criminal elements while upholding professionalism, restraint, and respect for human rights.

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, emphasized the need for officers to be hard on crime but soft on people, ensuring they protect law-abiding citizens' rights.

The training covered combat techniques, weapons handling, modern policing ethics, body positioning, trigger control, and tactical maneuvers to enhance operational effectiveness.Officers were also urged to obey lawful orders and remember that their uniform represents the integrity of the Nigeria Police Force.Commanding officers highlighted the importance of responsible firearm use and upholding human rights during public interactions.The event included a ceremonial parade, tactical demonstrations, riot control exercises, and withdrawal drills.The training aligns with international best practices to address emerging security challenges.
