The provincial chief secretary convened an emergency meeting to activate the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and direct district authorities to submit daily situation reports during the monsoon season.

Key measures included identifying relief camp sites, ensuring availability of rescue boats, dewatering pumps, and emergency machinery, along with resource mapping for food, water, and medical supplies.Municipal authorities were instructed to clear storm-water drains and prevent drainage bottlenecks.

Meteorological forecasts predicted moderate to heavy rainfall until July 27 in Sindh districts, with Karachi likely to see cloudy weather and light rain.

The Sindh Chief Minister had earlier placed districts on high alert, emphasizing preparedness for monsoon impacts and urging authorities to maintain drainage systems and protect lives and property.
