President Ruto Says He Will Accept 2027 Election Outcome, Urges Kenyans to Trust God
Kasarani Member of Parliament Ronald Karauri has opened up about his transition from aviation and business into politics, saying Kenya needs more leaders than politicians to foster genuine development.
In a documentary titled 'For People,' Karauri reflects on his time as a Kenya Airways captain and Secretary General of the Kenya Airline Pilots Association (KALPA), where he first experienced leadership and governance.He also mentions his successful business venture, SportPesa, before moving into public service.
As MP, Karauri has spearheaded projects in Kasarani, including improvements to educational infrastructure such as Njiru Secondary School, and has emphasized transparency in public spending.
He believes leadership is a calling from God rather than a career choice and stresses that leaders should serve the people rather than personal interests.
Karauri recently declared his bid for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2027 general elections, blaming poor leadership and cartels for the city’s current challenges.He promises to tackle Nairobi’s issues through effective governance and accountable leadership.
