Kenya Weather Forecast Predicts Rain in 26 Counties Including Nairobi
The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a 24-hour weather forecast predicting rainfall across 21 counties on Sunday, July 26, 2026.The bulletin covers the period from 9pm on July 25 to 9pm on July 26, highlighting that showers are expected in Uasin Gishu, Kisii, Nakuru, Kericho, Kakamega, Trans-Nzoia, Bungoma, Vihiga, Bomet, Nandi, Meru, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Mombasa, Nyamira, Embu, Murang'a, Nyeri, and Nyandarua.
The Rift Valley and western regions will experience the heaviest rainfall, with thunderstorms likely in Nakuru, Kericho, Trans-Nzoia, and Uasin Gishu.
Central Kenya will see cool, cloudy conditions in Nairobi, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Nyeri, and Nyandarua, while coastal areas like Mombasa and Kwale expect scattered morning showers clearing to sunny intervals by afternoon.
Wind advisories are in place for the north and coastal belt, with southerly winds exceeding 25 knots forecasted in Marsabit, Isiolo, Garissa, Wajir, Tana River, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kitui.Temperatures will vary widely, with Mandera and Turkana reaching up to 35°C, while Nyandarua may drop to 7°C overnight.Sunrise and sunset times are provided for key locations, including Mombasa (6.30am-6.25pm), Nairobi (6.37am-6.40pm), Nakuru (6.39am-6.45pm), Kisumu (6.44am-6.50pm), and Eldoret (6.41am-6.49pm).
