The Kogi State Government has confirmed the successful rescue of four individuals kidnapped during an attack on an unauthorized examination center in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area.

Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, revealed that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ordered a joint rescue mission involving the Nigerian Army, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force, local vigilante groups, and other security operatives.Security forces stormed the forest where the kidnapping occurred, leading to the immediate release of the victims.The victims, including a school principal, NECO official, and two students, are now undergoing medical checks and debriefing.The governor emphasized that the operation is ongoing, with security operatives still in the area to ensure no criminals escape justice.The government expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support, which facilitated the rescue.This incident highlights the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in combating insecurity in Kogi State.
