Ogun State celebrates Governor Dapo Abiodun at 66, highlighting governance achievements and development strides
The Lagos State government don step up monitoring and supervision across 80 of its parastatals and government-owned agencies as part of reforms to boost revenue, promote transparency, and improve governance.
According to Olugbemiga Aina, Permanent Secretary of the Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), the office don carry out inspections and evaluations covering 70 agencies in 2025, with a new exercise for 75 agencies already dey ongoing in 2026.The PMO dey check revenue performance, spending patterns, pension compliance, project implementation, and adherence to government guidelines.
They also dey track major projects for 25 agencies together with engineers, builders, and architects to ensure say construction dey meet approved standards and value for money dey achieved.
On-the-spot assessments for 50 agencies don also happen to review operational efficiency, succession planning, governance structures, and audited accounts.
The PMO don set up the Parastatals Revenue Generating Meeting (PARGEM) as a strategic platform to monitor revenue, identify leakages, and improve collection methods across the state.The reforms dey aligned with the Sanwo-Olu administration's T.H.E.M.E.S+ agenda and dem aim to build strong institutions wey fit deliver sustainable governance and better public service.
