Liam Gallagher has been announced as the new ambassador for Manchester-based music charity Brighter Sound, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting emerging musicians and creative talent.

Founded 25 years ago, the charity works with more than 1,000 creatives annually, providing workshops, mentorship schemes, live events and development projects aimed at helping young people and aspiring professionals build skills, confidence and industry connections.Its mission focuses on reducing barriers to entry into the music industry and fostering new talent across the region.

As part of the partnership, Gallagher and Brighter Sound have launched a fundraising prize draw offering fans the chance to win pairs of his sold-out Adidas Spezial LG Achille SPZL trainers, originally released during the ‘Oasis Live ‘25’ tour and previously unavailable since selling out.

The draw includes 40 pairs of a Japanese-exclusive darker brown design and 95 pairs of the standard light brown version, with sizes ranging from UK 3.5 to 12.Entries are available via the Zeffy fundraising platform, with tickets priced from £10 for a single entry or £25 for a bundle of three entries.Participants can also donate custom amounts, with all funds going directly to Brighter Sound.The prize draw closes at 11pm on Monday 13 July, and there is no limit to the number of entries per person.

Gallagher said he was honoured to support the next generation of creatives and emphasised the need for greater investment in the arts, particularly for working-class communities.

Brighter Sound director Kate Lowes welcomed the partnership, highlighting Manchester’s strong musical heritage and the shared aim of nurturing future talent.The collaboration is described as the first stage of a broader partnership between the artist and the charity.
