Mariah Carey has released a 30th-anniversary edition of her iconic 1995 album 'Daydream', offering fans an expanded collection that includes previously unreleased material, rare B-sides, remixes, and live performances.
The 33-track digital release, launched on July 17, features excerpts from Carey's private writing sessions for the songs 'I Am Free' (collaboration with Walter Afanasieff) and 'Melt Away' (with Babyface).This marks the first time these intimate moments have been made public.
The anniversary edition also includes the Ol’ Dirty Bastard-assisted remix of 'Fantasy', a version of 'Always Be My Baby' featuring Da Brat and Xscape, and B-sides like 'Slipping Away' and 'One Night'.Physical versions will be available from October 16, including limited-edition pink vinyl pressings.
Carey also announced a previously unseen 'Making Of Fantasy' featurette on her YouTube channel, offering behind-the-scenes insights into the music video she directed herself.
The album originally spawned hits like 'Fantasy', 'Always Be My Baby', and the chart-topping collaboration with Boyz II Men, 'One Sweet Day'.
