Serengeti Boys reach AFCON U17 semi-finals after strong youth campaign
The digital financial services platform Mixx has started giving prizes to its customers through a new campaign linked to the upcoming Fifa World Cup.This campaign, done together with Hisense company, is called 'Every Goal Counts' and also known as 'Kila Muamala ni Bao la Ushindi'.It encourages people in Tanzania to use Mixx for their daily transactions so they can win different prizes.In the first draw, seven winners received one million shillings each in cash.Most of these winners came from Dar es Salaam, with others from Coast and Tanga regions.
Additionally, three participants won Hisense electronic items like a television, refrigerator, and speaker system from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Tanga.
One of the happy winners, businessman Yango Kasagamba from Dar es Salaam, said the money will help him expand his business and pay school fees for his child.He advised other Tanzanians to keep using Mixx because every transaction can bring a winning chance.
Mixx Head of Brand and Communications, Anisah Mamuya, explained that the campaign wants to connect with Tanzanians' strong love for football while promoting the use of digital money services.The promotion is still running, and more draws will happen.
In future, five lucky people will win all-expenses-paid trips to Mexico to watch Fifa World Cup matches live, and one grand winner will take home 50 million shillings.The campaign aims to increase the use of Mixx Super App for payments like Lipa kwa Simu and other services.
This initiative is expected to reward many users across the country and boost digital financial activities as football fans get ready for the big tournament.
