The Ndimande brothers, Siyabonga Gezani and Malusi Dave Ndimande, are set to appear in the Durban High Court for the murder of taxi owner William Kunene.The case involves allegations that the brothers conspired with unknown individuals to shoot Kunene in November 2022 at Seadoone Mall.The State alleges that Kunene was approached by armed assailants after completing his shopping, resulting in his instant death.The pre-trial conference was postponed due to the absence of the Ndimande brothers, who were previously incarcerated in Eswatini.

Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Advocate Lawrence Gcaba explained that crucial evidence obtained during their detention in Eswatini is required for the trial.The postponement also allows co-accused Philani Innocent Sikhosana to pursue a new bail application.The court granted the delay, rescheduling the conference to August 13.
