Nick Cave, Calvin Harris and Idles headline eclectic second day of Open’er Festival 2026

The second day of Open’er Festival 2026 in Gdynia, Poland showcased a wide-ranging line-up spanning rock, pop, electronic music and classical performance.

The main stage featured Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Calvin Harris and Halsey, while elsewhere audiences experienced sets from Idles, rising artists and even a live orchestra performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1, underlining the festival’s commitment to musical diversity.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds delivered a two-hour set drawing from across their extensive catalogue, blending fan favourites such as Into My Arms and O Children with deeper cuts.

Despite the often dark lyrical themes of death and faith, the live performance was described as uplifting and communal, with Cave engaging closely with the crowd and turning songs into moments of collective release.

Calvin Harris followed with a high-energy DJ set that persisted despite heavy rain, transforming the site into a large-scale dance party with major pop vocals and festival anthems, including tracks associated with Rihanna, Dua Lipa and Ellie Goulding.

Idles provided a stark contrast with a ferocious, politically charged punk performance that included intense crowd interaction and uncompromising energy.

Meanwhile, Halsey presented a theatrical, rock-oriented set divided into three narrative acts, combining industrial rock influences with their pop catalogue and culminating in an emotionally charged finale.

Across the festival grounds, the programming reflected a deliberate mix of genres and performance styles, reinforcing Open’er Festival’s reputation as one of Europe’s most eclectic major music events.
