The project spans three stages: a Japanese-language reasoning model by 2026, an omni-modal system by 2028, and 'Real-world Native AI' for robots by 2030.Toyota and other manufacturers are integrating Nvidia's Cosmos models into production lines and autonomous vehicles.

Japan's strategy includes 10 million AI-equipped robots by 2040, backed by $65 billion in investment, as the country seeks to lead in physical AI amid global competition with the U.S.and China.
