Nyandarua Senator John Kaba Methu has revealed he lost 12kg during the recent Ol Kalou constituency by-election campaign.The senator shared a photo of his weighing scale showing 72.10kg, crediting the grueling campaign schedule for his significant weight loss.

Methu, the chief strategist behind the DCP candidate's landslide victory, described the campaign as a 'price' paid for the electoral success.He skipped meals and spent long hours campaigning instead of hitting the gym, using the campaign as an unplanned weight-loss program.Despite the physical toll, Methu expressed satisfaction with the DCP's win in Nyandarua County.

The by-election, which concluded on July 16, drew significant regional attention, and Methu's hands-on approach secured the victory for the Democracy for Citizens Party.

His candid post highlighted the demanding nature of political fieldwork, with losing 12kg over the campaign period underscoring the intensity of the schedule.
