He alleges that APC's campaign against former President Goodluck Jonathan involved relentless negative messaging, focusing on issues like insecurity in the North-East and the removal of fuel subsidies.

Okonkwo asserts Jonathan was labeled 'clueless, corrupt, insensitive, and incompetent' by political opponents, which contributed to his defeat.The ADC leader also mentions that former Minister Lai Mohammed played a key role in APC's media strategy, amplifying attacks on Jonathan.Despite criticism, Okonkwo praises Jonathan for maintaining democratic principles and not using state power against rivals.

He highlights Jonathan's statement that 'no politician’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian' and notes how Jonathan accepted the election result gracefully, congratulating Muhammadu Buhari before official results were declared.
