The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a reconciliation committee to address grievances from its primaries and ticket allocation ahead of the 2027 general election.

The panel, chaired by Biyi Poroye, Chairman of the Ondo State Oil-Producing Areas Development Commission, aims to resolve disputes over primary results and candidate nominations.Some aspirants, including former Energy Commissioner Razaq Obe, challenged the outcomes, claiming their names were replaced on the official list.Obe warned that unresolved conflicts could harm the APC’s electoral prospects in Ondo, especially President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

APC Chairman Babatunde Kolawole emphasized the party’s commitment to internal conflict resolution mechanisms, stating the committee would work immediately with experienced stakeholders.He stressed that dissenting opinions, like Obe’s, are personal and not official party positions.The move follows growing tensions among aspirants who felt marginalized by the primaries’ results.
