APC Sources Claim Fubara Lost Party Backing Over Alleged Breach Of Political Agreement With Wike
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have formally introduced Sharafadeen Alli to President Bola Tinubu as the party’s governorship candidate, bringing an end to months of speculation and internal discussions about who would fly the party’s flag in the state.
The delegation was led by Moses Adeyemo, former Deputy Governor and Oyo APC Chairman, alongside another former Deputy Governor, Iyiola Oladokun, and former Senator Ayoade Adeseun.Other prominent party figures present included Fatai Ibikunle, APC National Deputy Auditor Gbenga Olayemi, and Soji Adedeji.
During the meeting, the party leaders also presented APC senatorial candidates to the President, showing what they described as the party’s readiness and unity ahead of future elections.
The senatorial candidates introduced were Remi Oseni for Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Yunus Akintunde for Oyo Central, and Hannah Ogunesan for Oyo North.
According to the report, the presentation was intended to demonstrate that key stakeholders within the Oyo APC are united behind Alli’s candidacy and are working together toward the party’s political objectives.The move is being seen as a significant step in consolidating support within the party and preparing for future electoral contests in Oyo State.
By presenting both the governorship and senatorial candidates to the President, party leaders sought to project a message of cohesion, organisation, and determination as they position the APC to challenge for political leadership in the state.
