A rescued Oyo teacher, Zachery Olatunde, has shared the harrowing details of his 56-day captivity after armed men abducted 44 pupils and teachers from three schools in Oyo State.

He revealed that kidnappers washed their clothes when they started smelling due to prolonged captivity, refuting claims that the kidnapping was staged.

Olatunde dismissed social media conspiracy theories, explaining that pupils wore matching native outfits because Oyo State schools mandate Friday native attire.He also highlighted the tragic deaths of two victims during the ordeal, stressing that the experience was real and traumatic.The rescue came after a joint security operation involving the Nigerian Army, Police, DSS, and local vigilantes.Authorities confirmed no ransom was paid.

Olatunde urged Nigerians to stop spreading false narratives about the incident, emphasizing the importance of trusting official accounts over online speculation.
