Pakistan and Russia have agreed to develop a joint strategy to combat terrorist networks operating in Afghanistan and the broader region.Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Kolokoltsev discussed enhancing cooperation in counterterrorism, counter-narcotics, cybercrime, and law-enforcement training during talks at the UN Chiefs of Police Summit.They also explored joint police exercises and institutionalizing bilateral cooperation through a memorandum of understanding.Naqvi highlighted the presence of over 25 terrorist groups in Afghanistan, emphasizing the need for collective action.The meeting also reviewed progress on previous agreements and invited Kolokoltsev to visit Pakistan.
