The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory predicting widespread rain, windstorms, and thundershowers across various regions of Pakistan until July 25.The forecast is attributed to continuous monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea affecting the upper and central parts of the country.A westerly disturbance is also expected to approach the upper regions on July 20.

The affected areas include regions like Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where heavy to very heavy rainfall is anticipated.Similarly, districts in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan are also expected to experience significant rainfall and thunderstorms.

The PMD has warned of potential flash floods in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as urban flooding in low-lying areas of major cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Faisalabad.The department has advised tourists to avoid vulnerable areas and urged farmers to plan agricultural activities.Authorities are urged to remain vigilant to prevent any incidents.The advisory highlights the need for preparedness due to the intensity of the weather system.
