Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Asim Munir concluded a two-day official visit to Turkey, during which he held high-level military discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chief of General Staff General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu.

The meeting, held behind closed doors at Ankara airport, was attended by key Turkish officials including Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) Director Ibrahim Kalin.

The visit marked continued defense cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey, with Munir receiving a guard of honour from the Turkish armed forces upon arrival.State media highlighted the importance of the meetings, which focused on regional security dynamics and enhancing bilateral military ties.This follows previous interactions between Pakistani and Turkish military leaders, underscoring the strategic partnership between the two nations.

The visit also coincided with PM Shehbaz's emphasis on strengthening economic collaboration with Turkey, reflecting broader geopolitical alignment.
