During an interview on Channels Television, Obi accused Tinubu of relying on aides and spokesmen to explain policies, calling it a disconnect between the administration and the public.He likened Tinubu's approach to 'turning Aso Rock into a bunker,' urging the president to emerge and speak openly.Obi emphasized the need for transparent communication on national issues, citing controversies like the Economic Advisory Council.

He also highlighted agriculture as a key sector for Nigeria's growth, stating the country can produce enough food and generate more income than oil.Obi argued that secure farmlands, manufacturing revival, and government support are essential for economic transformation.His vision includes Nigeria becoming a major exporter of food commodities like rice, using examples like Bangladesh's agricultural success.

The former governor stressed that addressing insecurity and fostering production over consumption are critical for poverty reduction and global competitiveness.
