The Philippine National Police (PNP) has finalized protocols to serve an arrest warrant against Senator Rodante Marcoleta, following a plunder case filed by the Office of the Ombudsman.

The case centers on P75 million in campaign contributions received by Marcoleta ahead of the 2025 senatorial elections, which were not declared in his Statement of Campaign Expenditures.Authorities emphasized coordination with Senate leadership if Marcoleta is arrested within the Senate premises.The PNP-CIDG, responsible for serving warrants, will follow standard procedures including fingerprinting, medical exams, and mug shots at Camp Crame.The suspect will then appear before the Sandiganbayan for the Return of the Warrant.Secretary Jonvic Remulla urged patience, stating the official warrant must be issued by the Sandiganbayan.
