The Nigerian presidency, led by President Bola Tinubu, has strongly criticized former Anambra governor Peter Obi over his recent interview with Channels Television.Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga accused Obi of distorting his political record and refusing to accept the 2023 election results.

He called the interview a 'PR disaster' and labeled Obi a 'political nomad' for switching parties multiple times, including from APGA to PDP, Labour, and now NDC.Onanuga argued that Tinubu's political journey remained within progressive blocs, unlike Obi's frequent party changes.He claimed Obi's actions show a focus on personal ambition rather than building political institutions.

The aide also emphasized that the presidency expects Obi to accept the 2023 election outcome and warned that if NDC fails to meet expectations, supporters will abandon the party for others.The criticism highlights ongoing tensions between Tinubu's camp and Obi over political strategies and electoral legitimacy.
