Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has publicly dismissed the Linda Mwananchi opposition movement, arguing that the crowds it draws will not translate into meaningful political support against President William Ruto's administration.

While addressing residents in Emuhaya Constituency, Vihiga County on July 25, Mudavadi compared the movement led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna to a newspaper fire that blazes briefly before burning out.

He suggested that today's challengers lack the substance of former opposition leader Raila Odinga, calling them 'paper tigers' who will fade quickly.

Mudavadi urged unity behind the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and President Ruto's government, emphasizing the need for a broad-based coalition.

Meanwhile, the Linda Mwananchi movement has been gaining traction across Kenya, with a massive rally in Trans Nzoia County drawing overwhelming support.
