Filming took place in upstate New York and centers on two lifelong friends, Ames and Byron, who reunite at an isolated cabin while waiting for a rare lunar event.
As they share bourbon and revisit their past, unresolved tensions, old rivalries, and emotional wounds emerge, leading to a powerful and increasingly volatile confrontation.The story explores themes of friendship, masculinity, memory, regret, and emotional vulnerability.Like Shepard’s original stage play, the film will feature a country music soundtrack that helps shape the atmosphere and narrative.The production team includes Aidan Quinn, Steve Buscemi, Michaela McKee, Wren Arthur, John Harris, and Eyal Rimmon as producers.Additionally, Liam Neeson has joined the project as an executive producer alongside several other industry figures.Quinn expressed enthusiasm about completing the shoot and praised both Buscemi and cinematographer Declan Quinn for their contributions.
Buscemi described working with Quinn, a longtime friend, as a major reason for joining the film and called the opportunity to perform in a Sam Shepard two-person drama both challenging and rewarding.The project now moves into post-production and editing.
