The Police Service Commission (PSC) has sacked four senior officers and demoted others for gross misconduct and unprofessional behavior.Chairman Hashimu Argungu revealed during a press briefing in Abuja that 31 officers faced varying sanctions, including rank reductions, compulsory retirements, and warnings.

Ten senior officers had their ranks cut, with three Superintendents demoted to Deputy Superintendents, two Deputy Superintendents to Assistant Superintendents, and five Assistant Superintendents to Inspectors.Two officers were compulsorily retired in the public interest.

The PSC emphasized zero tolerance for indiscipline, stating they will continue to enforce strict disciplinary measures while rewarding deserving officers.The move aims to restore discipline and accountability within the Nigeria Police Force.
