Maj-Gen Feroz Khan, the suspended deputy national head of SAPS crime intelligence, has been discharged from Milpark Hospital after nearly three weeks following a shooting incident outside his Houghton home.

His family confirmed he was moved to a secure location for intensive rehabilitation and recovery, with no public details on his current health status.

The family emphasized that his recovery period will determine his ability to testify before the Madlanga commission of inquiry into corruption and criminal infiltration allegations.

However, concerns have been raised about the police investigation's lack of progress, with the family criticizing the absence of updates from investigators.
