The aid included basic goods such as snacks, shirts, electric fans, vitamins, basketballs, and volleyballs intended to provide both immediate relief and recreational support to the beneficiaries. In addition to the in-kind donations, qualified residents also received financial assistance as part of the program. The initiative was framed as part of Go’s continuing advocacy for pro-poor programs and social welfare support for vulnerable sectors of society.
During the event, the senator emphasised that public service is a responsibility rather than something that should be thanked for, stating that serving the people is part of his duty as an elected official.
Go also shared a personal note with residents, mentioning that he has been living in Teacher’s Village for around ten years and considers himself a neighbour to the communities he serves.
The outreach activity highlights ongoing efforts by certain public officials to directly engage with communities and provide immediate assistance, particularly in urban poor areas of Quezon City.
The event focused on both material aid and reinforcing community ties between officials and constituents, with an emphasis on continued support for indigent families.
