The Serengeti Boys secured their place after a dramatic quarter-final victory over Algeria, winning 4-3 on penalties following a 3-3 draw in regular time.In the group stage, Tanzania recorded strong wins against Mozambique and Angola, both ending 3-0, although they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Mali.Despite this setback, the team showed resilience, discipline, and teamwork, earning recognition as one of the tournament’s surprise performers.
Coach Nsanganzelu confirmed that preparations for the Egypt match have gone smoothly, with players showing strong fitness levels and commitment during training sessions.Midfielder Razack Ndengelendi also expressed confidence, stating that the squad is mentally and physically ready for the semi-final challenge.He added that team morale remains high and the players are focused on achieving positive results.In the other semi-final fixture, Senegal will face hosts Morocco, setting up a competitive final stage of the tournament.
