RSS Warns Against Ram Temple 'Conspiracies' as TN MLA Arrested for Remarks on CM
Six Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been suspended by District Collector M.Abhishikth Kishore for alleged negligence in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The decision follows findings that the officials failed to properly discharge their duties, violating Section 32 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.The suspended BLOs include Suvarna and V.Venkata Sai Sharan from Bheemili Assembly constituency, M.D.Shahid and B.Lakshmi Niharika from Visakhapatnam South, and Chittiboyina Gangajalam and Chepala Ramanjaneyulu from Visakhapatnam East.The Collector emphasized that negligence, rule violations, and dereliction of duty during voter roll revisions would not be tolerated.This action underscores the importance of meticulousness in electoral processes to ensure accurate voter registration and prevent electoral fraud.The incident highlights administrative challenges in maintaining updated electoral rolls, particularly in areas with high voter turnover.Authorities are likely to review the revision process to identify systemic issues and implement stricter oversight mechanisms.Such suspensions serve as a deterrent against complacency and reinforce accountability in electoral administration.
