Praveen Goyal, father of accused murderer Siya Goyal, clarified that his dry fruits and spices shop in Market Yard was not sealed by Maharashtra FDA officials.

The FDA had collected samples from the shop on July 14, 2026, over suspected adulteration and labelling violations, leading to a notice to halt operations.Praveen stated his licence application is pending and he's complying with temporary closure until it arrives within eight to ten days.

He emphasized that the shop hasn't been sealed and expressed support for the judiciary's probe into his daughter's alleged murder of realtor Ketan Agarwal.However, he claimed his family has faced repeated targeting, causing long-term stress.Siya, currently in judicial custody, is accused of pushing Agarwal off a cliff at Lohagad Fort.The FDA action was part of its 'Safe Food, Safe Drug, Safe Maharashtra' campaign, seizing ₹8.14 lakh worth of products and issuing compliance orders under the Food Safety and Standards Act.
