Lacson proposes court approval for detained senators to attend impeachment trial in person
Based on a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from March 24 to 31, 2026, Vice President Sara Duterte registered a slight improvement in her net satisfaction rating despite ongoing impeachment proceedings in the House of Representatives.The poll showed that 54% of Filipinos were satisfied with her performance, 25% were dissatisfied, and 21% were undecided.This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +29, a small increase from +28 in November 2025.The survey period coincided with the start of formal hearings on impeachment complaints, which may have influenced public perception.Regionally, Duterte continued to receive her highest approval in Mindanao, where she posted an excellent +82.She also recorded a good +36 in the Visayas, while Metro Manila and Balance Luzon both remained at neutral levels of +5.
The survey noted minor shifts: increases in Mindanao and Metro Manila helped lift her national rating, while the Visayas and Balance Luzon saw slight declines.In terms of demographics, rural areas showed a stable rating moving from +35 to +36, while urban areas improved from +21 to +23.However, younger Filipinos aged 18 to 24 showed a notable decline of 16 points, and college graduates also recorded a drop from +18 to -3.The same SWS survey also measured satisfaction ratings of other top officials.Former Senate President Vicente Sotto III scored +15, slightly down by one point.House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III also slipped to +4, while Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo remained steady at +9.Meanwhile, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.received a net satisfaction rating of -15, marking a new record low according to the survey results.The nationwide face-to-face survey included 1,500 adult respondents with a margin of error of ±3% nationally.
