Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C.Joseph Vijay inaugurated his MLA office in Perambur constituency on July 13, 2026, marking his first official visit to the area since winning the 2026 Assembly election.

The event included the launch of an e-Sevai (e-Service) centre, discussions on integrated development projects, and distribution of smart ration cards to beneficiaries.Vijay also inspected the Metropolitan Transport Corporation’s electric bus depot and launched a grievance reporting platform for residents.

The State government plans ₹1,013 crore in civic projects over two years, including urban infrastructure, housing, water supply, and education initiatives.Seven projects under the MLA Local Area Development Scheme were approved, focusing on public utilities and social welfare.

The visit highlighted Vijay’s focus on modernization and citizen engagement, with extensive security measures and public participation in welcoming the leader.
