Success of Local Content Policy Boosts Tanzanian Involvement in Mining Sector
TIB Rasilimali, the capital markets subsidiary of state-owned TIB Development Bank, and brokerage Orbit Securities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand capital raising in Tanzania.
The partnership, licensed by the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA), covers capital raising, regulatory advisory, financial structuring, book building, market research, and investor roadshows.
The collaboration aims to provide long-term financing for government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private companies through the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE).
The agreement includes investor identification, activity plan design, capacity building, new investment product development, international investor attraction, and public education.
This partnership is expected to enhance access to financing for public and private sector entities, boost investor confidence, and broaden investment opportunities.
TIB Rasilimali Director General Brighton Ross Kinemo emphasized the commitment to innovative capital market solutions, while Orbit Securities CEO Godfrey Malauri highlighted the shared goal of supporting Tanzania's financial markets through efficient capital solutions.The collaboration underscores Tanzania's efforts to strengthen its capital markets and attract investment.
