A severe road accident occurred in Pune district of Maharashtra on Monday when a truck collided with a group of warkari pilgrims.The incident took place on Saswad Jejuri Road, where the truck, carrying pilgrims from Nanded district, ran into a group from Kasbedigraj in Sangli district.The collision resulted in three deaths and ten injuries, with the injured being rushed to Jejuri's Rural Hospital.Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar visited the hospital to review treatment.Preliminary investigations suggest the truck lost control at high speed.The Wari religious procession, which involves pilgrims walking to Pandharpur, is an annual event.

The deceased include Rajshree Bhosale, Madhavi Sarwade, and Nanda Pawar, while survivors are receiving free medical treatment under the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana.Seven seriously injured pilgrims were admitted to Anandi Hospital, with one referred to Sassoon Sarvoopchar for further care.
