Prof William Anangisye, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), has been admitted as an Individual Member of the International Confucian Association (ICA).This recognition highlights his contributions to global scholarship and international academic cooperation.The ICA, established in Beijing in 1994, promotes intercultural dialogue and collaboration among universities worldwide.Prof Anangisye emphasized that the honor reflects UDSM's growing role in strengthening international partnerships and cultural exchange.

Under his leadership, UDSM's Confucius Institute has enhanced Chinese language education and research collaborations with institutions like Zhejiang Normal University.

The recognition also underscores Tanzania's commitment to fostering academic ties with China, as noted by Dr Mussa Hans, the Tanzania Director of the Confucius Institute.

This achievement positions UDSM as a key player in global education and cultural exchange, aligning with the university's strategic goals to expand its international footprint through research and innovation.
