Ukraine has carried out its largest drone attack on Moscow in over a year, resulting in at least four deaths, including three in the Moscow region and one in the Belgorod region near the Ukrainian border.Russian authorities reported that over 1,000 Ukrainian drones were intercepted within 24 hours.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the strike as a justified response to Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukrainian cities.Video footage released by Zelensky showed drones in flight, smoke rising from fires, and emergency crews responding to incidents.

This escalation comes amid an intensification of Ukrainian drone operations aimed at crippling Russian infrastructure such as refineries, depots, and pipelines.Moscow’s Mayor reported 81 drones were shot down during the assault, marking the largest attack on the capital in over a year.

The strikes demonstrate Ukraine’s increased operational reach and suggest a shift in the front-line dynamics, according to Zelensky, who stated that Ukrainian military activity now exceeds that of Russia in certain sectors.
