UPLIFT beneficiaries use cash aid for essential needs and home repairs

The UPLIFT cash aid program, expanded by the government, began distributing financial assistance to beneficiaries across the Philippines.Over 1,193 residents in Binangonan, Rizal, and around 43 in Muntinlupa City received P2,000 each to cover daily necessities like food, medicine, and home repairs.Beneficiaries like Luzviminda Gemina expressed gratitude for the aid, which will help fix their homes and buy essential supplies.

However, challenges persist as some qualified individuals are unreachable, either because they have moved, are incarcerated, or are no longer in the area.
