US President Donald Trump has indicated that a peace agreement with Iran is close to completion, suggesting that negotiations have been largely finalised.In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the deal as nearing finalisation, although key details remain unresolved.

Notably, there was no explicit reference to Iran’s nuclear program or discussions surrounding highly enriched uranium, issues that Tehran has reportedly sought to address in later stages of negotiations.

According to a regional official familiar with Pakistan-led mediation efforts, the United States and Iran have been moving closer to an agreement aimed at ending the conflict.The official noted that discussions intensified after Washington considered launching further military strikes against Iran, the Islamic Republic.

However, they also warned that last-minute disagreements could still derail the process, as has occurred in previous rounds of near-agreements in recent weeks.

The proposed framework reportedly includes an official declaration to end hostilities, alongside a two-month negotiation period focused specifically on Iran’s nuclear program.

Additional elements under discussion include reopening the Strait of Hormuz and the United States lifting its blockade of Iranian ports, measures that would significantly ease regional tensions and restore key maritime trade routes.Despite these reported developments, Iranian officials have not yet responded publicly to Trump’s announcement.
