His remarks were delivered during the launch of a book analyzing President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership philosophy and its impact on Tanzania’s economic and social reforms.
The event, held at the University of Dar es Salaam, highlighted the government’s focus on legal frameworks to reduce bureaucratic hurdles, protect citizens’ rights, attract foreign investment, and strengthen institutions.
President Hassan’s governance pillars—reconciliation, comprehensive reforms, resilience, and economic expansion—have driven policies that boosted domestic revenue collection, enabling a 40 trillion shilling budget for 2026/27.Key reforms include modernizing tax systems, establishing special economic zones, and streamlining investment procedures.
Experts praised these changes for enhancing fiscal discipline, promoting inclusive governance, and advancing Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2050.
The book, authored by government lawyers, serves as a reference for policymakers and stakeholders seeking to understand Tanzania’s development trajectory.
