The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has praised the successful rescue of schoolchildren, teachers, and other victims abducted in Oyo State after 56 days in captivity.However, they have urged the federal government to show similar commitment in freeing remaining captives in Borno and Kwara States.

The ADC emphasized that while celebrating rescues is important, the government's main responsibility should be preventing kidnappings rather than just responding after incidents occur.They highlighted ongoing cases where victims remain held hostage, stressing the need for urgent action.The party criticized the current administration for allowing insecurity to become a norm, warning it hampers economic growth and public confidence.They called for comprehensive strategies to address root causes of crime, improve intelligence sharing, and restore security in vulnerable areas.The ADC also noted that many families of missing persons have not received adequate attention, advocating for equal focus on all victims.
