Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-proclaimed DG of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has publicly doubted the credibility of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) investigation into Chief Femi Gbajabiamila, Tinubu's Chief of Staff.

Adeyemi, who appeared on Channels Television's Politics Today, argued that the ICPC cannot probe government officials effectively and called for an independent panel to address the crisis.He claimed Tinubu had already exonerated Gbajabiamila, stating, 'Government can’t probe Government.Are you telling me that the ICPC would indict Chief Femi Gbajabiamila?It’s not possible.' Adeyemi also demanded a broader inquiry into the alleged ₦1.3 billion allocation for PFIPC in the 2026 Appropriation Bill, emphasizing the need for transparency and public confidence.He welcomed Tinubu's directive to ICPC but urged expanding the inquiry's scope.Adeyemi is set to appear in court and has requested a multi-stakeholder investigation to ensure impartiality.
