Residents of Alexandra, South Africa, have staged a protest against City Power, accusing the utility of failing to deliver on a 2025 promise to electrify the Mahauzana Flats.

City Power acknowledged the protest but stated it cannot legally provide electricity to the flats due to unlawful occupation and unregistered customers.
