Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that protecting the welfare and future of India's youth remains the Modi government's highest priority, while expressing support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to establish fast-track courts for cases related to examination paper leaks.

Shah described the move as a significant step towards ensuring swift justice and imposing strict punishment on those responsible for compromising the future of students through such offences.

His remarks came after the Prime Minister publicly announced the decision, stating that the government had directed the concerned authorities to take all necessary measures to safeguard students' interests and accelerate legal proceedings in paper leak cases.

The announcement follows widespread protests over the alleged NEET paper leak controversy, with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Demonstrations in New Delhi intensified, with clashes reported between protesters and police after security personnel used tear gas and batons to disperse crowds.

The issue has also disrupted proceedings during the Monsoon Session of Parliament, where Opposition parties have repeatedly raised concerns and sought accountability from the government.BJP leader Nitin Nabin reiterated that the government remains committed to protecting students and ensuring fairness in competitive examinations.

Meanwhile, student groups continued protests in Delhi and several other parts of the country, calling for systemic reforms, greater transparency and stronger accountability mechanisms to prevent recurring examination paper leaks and restore public confidence in the examination system.
