Calgary police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a man suspected of perpetrating a violent assault in downtown Calgary on June 14, 2026.The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m.near the intersection of Stephen Avenue and 2 Street Southwest.According to investigators, three men were waiting for transportation when they witnessed a verbal argument between a man and a woman.One of the men approached the woman to check on her well-being, only for the suspect to assault all three men without warning.Two victims sustained serious injuries requiring medical treatment, while the third suffered minor injuries.The suspect fled northbound on 2 Street Southwest, while the woman left the area separately with a group of other women.Authorities have released security footage and images of the suspect, who was wearing distinctive clothing.Witnesses or anyone who recognizes the suspect or the clothing are urged to contact police.Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.The case highlights ongoing efforts to resolve violent incidents and emphasizes community cooperation in criminal investigations.
