Etche City Boy Movement Praises Peaceful APC Primaries and Urges Party Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

The City Boy Movement in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State has commended the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections held across the 19 wards in the area.Speaking to journalists in Okehi after the governorship primary election, the coordinator of the group, Dr.Fortune Uchenna Obi, said the exercise showed maturity, discipline and proper organisation among party members.Dr.Obi congratulated the candidates who emerged victorious during the primaries.According to him, Senator Allwell Onyesoh won the senatorial ticket, while Ozizum Chibuzor Nwamaka emerged for the House of Representatives seat.He also mentioned Ohanuna Bright for Etche Constituency 1, Chimezie Nwankwo for Etche Constituency 2, and Rt.Hon.O.K.Chinda as the APC governorship candidate.

The movement appealed to aspirants who did not win to accept the outcome peacefully and support the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.Dr.Obi stressed that unity within the party would be important for APC’s success during the polls.

He also thanked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, alongside other party leaders, for their support and involvement in the process that led to the emergence of the successful candidates.According to him, their leadership helped to maintain order and stability during the primaries.

The City Boy Movement further assured party members that it would mobilise support across Etche LGA to secure victory for all APC candidates during the 2027 elections.
