The Federal Government has evacuated 1,490 Nigerian nationals from South Africa through humanitarian flights due to ongoing xenophobic attacks and security concerns.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this via a statement by Spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa, detailing the fifth phase of the evacuation program.The latest flight, operated by Air Peace, carried 308 passengers including returnees and officials.This brings the total evacuated to 1,490 since June 10, with coordinated efforts between Nigerian agencies and South African airlines.The government emphasized its commitment to protecting Nigerians abroad under President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
