Astronomers have confirmed the existence of four previously undetected white dwarf stars in binary systems within 65 light-years of Earth.Using advanced ultraviolet observations from the Hubble Space Telescope, researchers identified these stellar remnants hidden among other celestial objects.The discovery highlights the importance of long-term observational studies in uncovering obscured cosmic phenomena.Three of the newly confirmed white dwarfs are located in star clusters, while one resides in a binary system with a companion star.This finding expands our understanding of stellar evolution and the distribution of dark matter in the Milky Way.
