Four Tanzanians have won all-expenses-paid trips to Mexico through a Mixx digital financial services promotion dubbed 'Kila Muamala ni Bao la Ushindi'.

The winners are Sumaiya Khamis from Zanzibar, Deogratius Haule, Edwin Kambo, and John Mzee, selected from different parts of the country including Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, and Arusha.

They were officially handed their travel tickets during a ceremony held in Dar es Salaam on Friday, July 3, 2026, before departing the same day for Mexico.The winners are set to attend a FIFA World Cup match between Mexico and England scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026.

According to Mixx Chief Executive Officer Angelica Pesha, the campaign aims to promote the use of digital financial services in Tanzania by showing that every transaction can create value beyond payments.

She explained that the initiative not only makes financial transactions easier and more secure but also supports business growth and opens up unique opportunities such as international travel experiences.

So far, more than 60 customers have benefited from the promotion, winning cash prizes, electronic appliances such as Hisense products, and World Cup travel experiences.

One of the winners, John Mzee, expressed gratitude, saying he never imagined that routine digital transactions could lead to watching a World Cup match live in Mexico.

The campaign continues with weekly prizes of Sh1 million and a grand prize of Sh50 million, encouraging more Tanzanians to adopt digital payments and enhance financial inclusion across the country.
